(Images and work property of Justin Richel)

Perhaps it’s because I’m a clutter bug, but I love stacks of stuff (mostly junk). Unfortunately the thing I’m best at stacking in my home is probably dirty dishes. This gives me all the more reason to elicit glee from Mr. Justin Richel’s fun (and eco-friendly) ‘plywerk’ print panels.
Richel is part of the art collective hosted by fawn&forest @ http://www.fawnandforest.com/.
Here’s a blurb on him && his goods:
“Justin Richel is an artist whose main focus is painting complex and detailed compositions that range in content from Desserts, men with wigs, presidents and birds. He received his BFA from the Maine College of Art, in Portland, ME (2002) and studied the technique of Icon painting at the Franciscan Monastery, Kennebunk. He now resides in the northwest mountains of Maine, with his lovely girlfriend Shannon and their adorable kitty. Justin has exhibited his work throughout the U.S. and has also exhibited work in Switzerland, Germany and China.” (fawn&forest)
“Fine art print of an original gouache painting by Justin Richel expertly mounted on the eco-friendly bamboo plywood panels by our friends over at Plywerks, who have perfected an easy and elegant way to exhibit prints of artwork without the frame or its expense.
Each panel comes ready to hang with the artwork printed on Fuji and Kodak silver-halide papers. Besides having superior color reproduction these prints also have excellent ozone resistance to ensure superior lightfastness (resistance to fading). The sustainable panels come with a keyhole notch for easy hanging (see specs) and a beautifully finished bamboo edge which look great against any color wall.”(fawn&forest)
