text 6 Oct room inspiration: 500 days of Summer

(Screen-caps are property of Fox)

So I guess it’s gotten to the point to where it’s lame that I still LOVE 500 Days of Summer so, so much. I mean, I can’t blame it on jumping on the bandwagon too late, as I literally counted down the days until it came out in Indianapolis.

But gosh darnit, I just can’t help it. I love it-everything. Perhaps it was the cinematography, or maybe the acting, or that the story hit home. Maybe it was the fact that because it was hipster-centric (Jesus), I could sit unabashed and just watch a romance flick (is that really so wrong, Michael????!)

But the real reason I posted it here, under the title “Room Inspiration” is because I love the color palette that was used. I love all the soft blues, grays, golds, and purples. Pretty films are always good places to look for nice color combinations, and I really want to bring these out in my home. All the sets that were used almost seemed as though they were filmed with true naturalist cinematic intentions. There was a lot of play with natural light, and the cozy atmosphere of the film was a good backdrop to the harsh realities of what relationships can sometimes become.

So here they are, some screen-caps I took from 500 Days of Summer,

*winks,

Lady<3
